CRASH...Cause Why Not?

June 14, 2019

I Crashed the Iowa Credit Union Convention in 2014, and it was the start of something beautiful. I learned all about this credit union movement that was happening and was fascinated. I had to get more, so I applied to Crash the GAC and then was asked to mentor Iowa CRASH the next year. I had learned SO much more and had the opportunity to make connections with people all over the country. I truly feel because of the knowledge I drew through these experiences I became more of a leader in my organization and was eventually asked to lead a team of people in our new Live Teller Department.

The amazing thing is that it never ends. Emerging Leaders Connection is constantly providing further opportunities to learn, grow and become a more thoughtful and informed leader. I am so thankful for the chances I’ve been afforded within and through this program. I honestly know I wouldn’t be where I am today without them.

If you are thinking about applying, do it. You will not regret it. It will give you the chance to make some amazing friends/connections that you will be able to rely on forever. You would also have a group of people that you can call on with any random questions or to bounce ideas from. You would have the opportunity to garner some amazing mentors that will stick with you throughout your career. And…you will have the most wonderful time doing it.

CRASH…cause why not?
