Wings2Water Named Beneficiary of Philanthropic Beer Sales

North Liberty, IA – Big Grove Brewery and GreenState Credit Union have teamed up again to release A Greener State of Mind, a collaboration beer where proceeds will benefit an Iowa environmental charity. A Greener State of Mind is being released to select stores throughout the state today. All proceeds this year will benefit Wings2Water, a statewide charity focused on reducing water pollution and runoff impact.

Dave Moore, Chief Operating Officer for Big Grove Brewery, states, “GreenState Credit Union is an impactful organization here in Iowa. We're glad to be the vehicle to raise awareness for water quality improvement that directly benefits Wings2Water. This donation is a way to move big projects forward. Working with GreenState, every dime spent to create the beer is put back into writing a check to the organization. The partnership just makes sense because water quality is so important to our brewery."

“GreenState has a goal to invest $5 million in conservational causes over the next decade, and this is one of the most exciting ways we can give back to charities whose mission is to improve our environment,” said Tara Wachendorf, VP/Public Relations Director of GreenState Credit Union. “We had a great response last year with this beer partnership and now we encourage the community to learn more about the incredible vision Wings2Water has for the state and entire country.”

“All the money raised from the Greener State of Mind beer sales will go to water quality restoration projects in the state," said Marty Lenss of Wings2Water. "We can't help but remind beer lovers that cleaner water ultimately means better-tasting beer!
