MEMBERS1st Community Credit Union Voted Best Financial Institution in Marshall County

October 14, 2022

In April 2022, the Times-Republican of Marshalltown announced big changes coming to their annual Best of the Best contest. Changes included expanding nomination eligibility to businesses throughout Marshall County and conducting all voting online in 2022.

Like most years, MEMBERS1st Community Credit Union was nominated into the contest.

“Once voting began, we noticed something else had changed,” said Abbey Sprague, marketing director of MEMBERS1st. “We weren’t in the category of Best Credit Union. We were in a new, broader category of Best Bank/Credit Union.”

There were 11 financial institutions, predominately banks, vying for a spot at the top. Despite the larger pool of competitors, Marshalltown’s two local credit unions came out on top. MEMBERS1st was voted “winner” and Lennox Employees Credit Union was voted “finalist” in the category of Best Bank/Credit Union.

“MEMBERS1st employees are committed to providing exceptional service and making positive contributions to their communities. We are thrilled to have been voted Best of the Best in Marshall County and we look forward to serving this great community for many years to come,” said Sprague.
