Affinity Credit Union Launches 2021 Scholarship Program
March 1, 2021 (Des Moines, IA) – Affinity Credit Union
Affinity Credit Union is pleased to announce its 2021 Scholarship Program and partnership with three local high schools, Des Moines North, Des Moines Lincoln, and Saydel. $9,000 in scholarship funds will be awarded to high school seniors based on academic achievement, community involvement, and essay submission.
“At Affinity Credit Union, it is our mission to build better lives, which is why we strive to make a difference in the communities we serve.” Investing in our future leaders through our scholarship program is one small way we give back, said Jim Dean, CEO.
Affinity Credit Union’s program encourages young adults to learn about the credit union movement and to prepare themselves for future challenges. Six separate $1,500 scholarships will be presented to eligible students looking to attend a trade school, as well as those seeking education at a 2-year community college or 4-year public or private university. Since its inception in 1995, Affinity Credit Union has awarded over $30,000 in scholarships.
