Superintendent Averill Visits All Iowa State-Chartered Credit Unions6/1/2021
The Superintendent has completed her tour of in-person visits with all Iowa state-chartered credit unions. Superintendent Katie Averill began her credit union site visits in June of 2017, soon after taking the role, while taking a pause in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic. This mission allowed the Superintendent the opportunity to meet and visit with credit union managers, staff and board of directors.
“Having come from a state-chartered credit union in Iowa, I know the importance of the relationship credit unions have with their membership and I wanted to experience that first hand. I enjoyed gaining a better understanding of the workplace, leadership, staff and credit union members.” stated Superintendent Averill.
As part of the Superintendent’s “Communication” initiative for 2021, Katie began conducting virtual meetings with CEO’s in February and is anticipated to have visited with all credit union leaders by June of 2021.
Superintendent Averill completed her tour in Le Mars, IA on May 14, 2021.
