Community Choice Essential Employees Pledge to Support Local
DES MOINES, IOWA – The teller-team at Community Choice has not missed a beat throughout the duration of new protocols, hour changes, and workloads due to COVID-19. Now with only drive-up service, our team of nearly 50 tellers spread across eight branches in the Des Moines metro-region, is giving back.
Last Monday, Josh Cook, CEO of the 47,000 member credit union notified all tellers that each week for the next four weeks, they will each receive $100 to spend and give in the local community. The goal is to support local restaurants, shops, and charities.
“Community is not just in our name, it represents a big piece of who we are” said Josh Cook, CEO and President. “Our mission is provide unexpectedly delightful experiences for our members, our teammates and our communities. No matter the situation we may be faced with, we cannot change who we are as an organization and what we believe in.”
As members of the community since 1953, Community Choice continues to like the UNbanking creed with this UNbanking for Good campaign. This campaign amounts to a uniquely direct investment of over $16,000 into the community.
