Community Choice Wins MAC Awards for Community Involvement
DES MOINES, IOWA – Community Choice Credit Union continues to be an industry leader in philanthropy and community investment by partnering and impacting more than 47 local non-profits and initiatives over the past twelve months. Some of their commitments include participation in House of Mercy’s upcoming Game Show Gala, the American Heart Association’s Heart Ball, Pride Fest, Wine Fest and sponsoring the “Amoeba Pool” for the downtown’s newest attraction, Lauridsen Skate Park.
Thus far, the highlight of 2019 has been the immense impact they made for the American Heart Association’s Heart Ball, where Community Choice helped raise a record breaking $900,000 for the prevention of heart disease and stroke in Central Iowa.
Community Choice’s relentless efforts and dedication to UNbanking for Good were recognized by the Marketing Association of Credit Unions recently with three (3) national awards in the categories of Community Engagement, Brand Awareness and Culture. While these awards are exciting to receive, they simply emulate Community Choice’s commitment to the communities they serve. In 2019, they are pumping up their efforts even more in a feat to UNbelievably support and impact 52 local non-profits—a goal of one on average per week in their efforts to be even more impactful.
