Community 1st Credit Union Moves up Des Moines Register 2018 “Top Workplace” Award list
OTTUMWA, IA –Community 1st Credit Union garnered its third straight Des Moines Register “Top Workplace” award and moved up 20 places in the process. The newspaper recognized 150 Iowa companies and organizations for the 2018 honor in Sept. 16 edition.
C1st was 18th on the list of midsized company employers. The credit union has 230 employees and 17 branches.
The employer honor is based on results of an employee feedback survey administered by WorkplaceDynamics, LLC, a research firm specializing in organizational health and workplace environment.
“For the third year in a row, we are delighted to be named a Top Workplace in Iowa,” said C1st President and CEO Greg Hanshaw. “Moving up in the ranking is an additional honor. The results of employee survey show we have something special happening here!”
Several aspects of workplace culture were measured including alignment, execution and connection. WorkplaceDynamics first published the list in 2006.
“The most successful companies are the ones that employees believe in,” reads a quote from the WorkplaceDynamics website.
