ICUL Donates $10,000 to CUAid to Assist Credit Union Members Affected by Hurricane Florence
(Des Moines, Iowa) – The Iowa Credit Union League (ICUL), through its holding company Affiliates Management Company (AMC), is providing a donation of $10,000 to the National Credit Union Foundation’s CUAid program to assist with disaster relief for credit union members impacted by Hurricane Florence in the Carolinas and Virginia.
“ICUL’s contribution to CUAid comes at a time when people are in great need," said Murray Williams, President/CEO, ICUL. “The national credit union community has come to Iowa’s aid when we’ve needed it most, and we want to return that gratitude in a time of great crisis. We believe strongly in the credit union philosophy of ‘people helping people’ and we hope our donation will help many credit union members who have been impacted by this tragic event."
Through CUAid, the National Credit Union Foundation assists the national credit union community in coming together to help those in need. The Foundation has activated the CUAid program fifteen times in the past thirteen years to assist credit unions and their members recover from natural disasters and fires.
