2017 Legislative Session Adjourns with Benefit to Iowa Credit Unions
The Iowa Legislature officially adjourned Saturday morning, April 22, after working through the night to finish outstanding legislation. The 2017 session brought significant policy victories for Iowa credit unions, including passage of the Skip a Pay and Iowa Consumer Credit Code Modernization bills. Both of these bills have been sent to the Governor and await his signature. The legislative success this year would not have been possible without grassroots support, and we thank all of you who took action this year on priority legislation! Make sure you have subscribed to ICUL's Legislative Forum for a full recap of all legislation that affects Iowa credit unions following the Governor's 30-day window for review and signature. Coopera Celebrates 10 Years
This month we are excited to celebrate Coopera's 10-year anniversary! In 2007, ICUL saw a growing need to help credit unions reach and serve the Hispanic market. At the same time, entrepreneur Warren Morrow had a vision to be a leader in serving the under-served. A partnership resulted and Coopera, one of ICUL's operating companies, was born.

Now, a decade later, Coopera has helped their clients serve more than one million Hispanic consumers and has collaborated with more than 200 credit unions and other organizations. Coopera proudly provides a variety of tools, training and products to Iowa credit unions.

Watch a short video on the evolution of Coopera as they celebrate their 10-year anniversary and see what their partners and clientshave to say.
