More Than 60 Credit Union Advocates Connected with State Legislators on Capitol Hill Day
Thank you to all those who attended yesterday's Capitol Hill Day! More than 60 participants were able to advocate on the behalf of Iowa credit unions to our state legislators about issues important to our movement. Among some of those issues were tax reform, skip-a-pay bills and modernizing the Iowa consumer credit code. See photos from the event and learn more about ICUL's next Capitol Hill Day on April 12.
PolicyWorks Partners with LMG Security to bring Iowa Credit Unions More
Cybersecurity Solutions
Cyber threats continue to get more sophisticated and the NCUA recently cited cybersecurity as a 2017 focus area. Thanks to a new partnership between PolicyWorks and LMG Security, an international cybersecurity and digital forensic firm based in Montana, Iowa credit unions have access to great new resources on the front of cybersecurity. Later this month, you will have access to 10 new cybersecurity policies through your dues-based PolicyAid subscription. The new partnership also creates access to affordable vulnerability scans, penetration and phishing tests, cybersecurity assessments utilizing the "CAT" tool recommended by the NCUA and more. With these new resources, Iowa credit unions can better identify their cybersecurity risks and receive cutting-edge guidance and solutions from the new partnership.

Join us for the Marketing Roundtable on Thursday, May from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. at the ICUL office. The topic is Alexa, Add Contextual Marketing to My To-Do List, which will explore how brands use technology and omnichannel thinking to execute awesome contextual marketing strategies. Our presenter is public relations expert, Kelly Moore of Kelly Moore's PR Collective. Attendees will leave inspired to evolve their own cooperative's cultures to better listen, better integrate and better respond to members.

Emerging Leaders Connection Roundtable Features Distinguished Panel with Topics on Leadership in the Workplace and the Credit Union Movement
Thank you all who attended last week's inspiring Emerging Leaders Connection Roundtable! Our distinguished panelists included Andy Fogle, CEO, Des Moines Police Officers' Credit Union; JoAnn Johnson, Superintendent, Iowa Division of Credit Unions; Pat Jury, President and CEO, Iowa Credit Union League and Helen Pearce, CEO, Cedar Falls Community Credit Union. Each leader shared advice from their experience in the movement, as well as practices and values they have instilled within their workplaces.
