AMC Donates $82,000 to ICUF
ICUL's holding company, AMC and its family of companies including Coopera, PolicyWorks, TMG and TMG Financial Services have donated $82,000 to the Iowa Credit Union Foundation. This gift is part of the AMC Gives Back program, which is focused on promoting the importance of giving back to the community. In addition to corporate sponsorships, AMC implemented a Volunteer Time Off benefit in 2016 for employees to get involved with community organizations important to them.

As the philanthropic arm of ICUL, ICUF invests in grants, programs and initiatives aimed at serving its mission of helping Iowans build wealth, responsibility and independence. AMC's gift will allow ICUF to continue to serve families and individuals across the state.

Advocacy Training: Credit Union Champions Recap
Last week's Advocacy Training officially kicked off ICUL's new Credit Union Champions program. The training was well attended and highlighted the importance of advocacy and connecting with legislators in their home districts.

A Credit Union Champion has been designated by the CEO to act as the advocacy point person for the credit union. This person will lead the credit union's advocacy efforts and coordinate strategic outreach to legislators in the communities their credit union serves. If your credit union has not yet designated a Champion and would like to, please contact Jessica Maldonado. ICUL will provide the training, tools and resources Champions need to be successful and help Iowa credit unions continue to improve the financial lives of Iowans.
