Family Involvement Board Scholarship

The Family Involvement Board (FIB) scholarship program, through the Iowa Credit Union Foundation, provides six scholarships to young adults and nontraditional students to further their education. Essay questions are designed to encourage learning about the credit union movement and its mission. Applications are due each February, and scholarship winners are notified in late April. 

AWJ Scholarship

The AWJ Scholarship was founded in honor of Al W. Jordan when he retired as president of the Iowa Credit Union League in 1981. The scholarship helps those who aspire to achieve leadership positions in the credit union system by attending Credit Union National Association (CUNA) Management School. This scholarship is open to Iowa credit union employees. Download the Application.


Disaster Relief Grant

In the unfortunate event of a natural disaster or personal emergency, this grant helps credit union members recover and rebuild. Whether it is flood damage, fire or another natural disaster, this grant provides assistance when it is needed most. Credit union managers apply on behalf of their members for emergency assistance. In addition, the Iowa Credit Union Foundation participates in fundraising for national disaster relief such as Hurricane Charley, Hurricane Katrina, the California wildfires, etc. Download the Application


League President's Grant

The League President's Grant provides Iowa credit unions, their employees and their chapters with funding for national schools, educational activities, community educational projects and certification programs. Download the Application


Small Credit Union Technology and Planning Grant

This grant allows Iowa credit unions under $15 million in assets to apply for funds to enhance their use of technology, or for credit union strategic planning purposes by using a consultant/facilitator of their choice. Funding has been provided through generous credit union contributions and the program is administered by the Foundation. All decisions for awarding grant money are made by Foundation board members. Small Credit Union Governmental Affairs Conference Grant

This grant allows Iowa managers and board members of Iowa credit unions under $15 million in assets to apply for funding to attend CUNA’s Governmental Affairs Conference (GAC) in Washington, D.C. Funding has been provided through generous credit union contributions and the program is administered by the Foundation. All decisions for awarding grant money are made by Foundation board members.
