Iowa Credit Union Foundation – Financial Educator RFP – Posted July 9, 2010

Founded in 1995 as the philanthropic arm of the Iowa Credit Union League, the Iowa Credit Union Foundation’s mission is to help Iowans build wealth, responsibility and independence, with the vision to eliminate poverty in the State of Iowa.
The Foundation’s Board of Directors has identified three Strategic Directives:

• Be the champions of financial literacy
• Provide tools for sustainable small businesses
• Give all Iowans access to financial services

The Iowa Credit Union Foundation seeks to find an individual or organization to provide training and technical assistance to credit unions about financial education. Our goal is to better train and equip credit unions to provide financial education to their members and potential members!

Midland Credit Union – Full Time Accounting Clerk (Urbandale) – Posted July 8, 2010


Midland Credit Union has an opening for a full time entry level accounting clerk at the main location in Urbandale. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, a self-starter, able to multi-task, and take on additional responsibilities as necessary. Experience in accounting preferred, however if you enjoy crunching numbers and have excellent MS Excel spreadsheet skills, we’d like to talk to you. Hours will range between 8:15 am and 5:45 pm Monday through Friday, and every other Saturday from 8:45 to 12:15 pm.

Midland Credit Union - Part Time Teller (Pleasant Hill, IA); Part Time Teller (Urbandale) - Posted Update, July 8, 2010

Are you eager to learn? Enjoy helping others? Midland Credit Union has a Part Time Teller position at the Pleasant Hill location and a Part Time teller position available at the Urbandale location! Qualified individual must be a people-person, detail-oriented, self-starter, dependable and willing to take on additional responsibilities when necessary. Need to have experience with office equipment and PC. Previous teller experience is a plus, but more than willing to train the right person! The Credit Union staff hours range between 8:15 a.m. – 5:45 p.m. Monday-Friday and 8:45 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. on Saturday.

Candidates will work with the Coopera team and credit unions across the country seeking to
implement a Hispanic outreach strategy. The Coordinator’s primary responsibility will be
fulfilling client delivery including conducting assessments, providing consulting and coaching,
marketing and research support, educational training, Spanish-English translations and other
work as assigned.
Qualifications:
Qualified candidates will be self-starters, driven, quick learners, comfortable working in a
high volume and fast-paced work environment, adaptable to change, have strong
organization skills, a professional demeanor and a desire for personal and professional
growth.
   Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
   Must be fluent in English and Spanish and have strong written and verbal skills in
   both languages with the demonstrated ability to conduct presentations.
   Extensive knowledge and understanding of the Hispanic culture is required.
   Strong time management, project management and planning skills.
   Ability to prioritize duties and handle stressful situations.
   Innovative, creative leader with the ability to “think outside the box.”
   Excellent interpersonal skills and a positive “can do” approach to problems.
   Two to four years of similar or related experience preferred.
   A background in marketing and experience with technology is preferred.
   Must be willing and able to travel within the state of Iowa and across the country for
   client work as necessary.
